Mission: To ensure that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This includes having the ability to efficiently and effectively locate, evaluate, and use various forms of information.


This mission is accomplished by:

1. Providing intellectual and physical access to resources in multiple formats;

2. Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas;

3. Collaborating with other educators to infuse information literacy skills into classroom instruction.

Just Say No: Just Say No is a club for second through fourth grade students and is designed to help students make wise choices about drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Meetings are held once every six weeks after school for one hour. Drug free-themed activities make up each meeting's agenda.


Student Council: The Piedmont Valley Student Council is a group composed of students from the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. These students represent the Piedmont Valley student body by representing their classmates by being good leaders, making decisions, and helping the community through donations from money raising efforts.


Piedmont Valley Elementary Student Council stresses the importance of maintaining strong character traits.
