Freshman Small Learning Community

The Small Learning Community is a program to help prepare 9th graders for the rest of their high school careers.  The primary purpose of this program is to create a more personalized learning environment that better meets the needs of our students. The Small Learning Community exists of two smaller communities called Team A and Team B.  Each team has one English teacher, one math teacher, one science teacher, one social studies teachers, and one inclusion teacher.  For their coursework, students take a total of eight credits throughout the year which include, in addition to the core subjects, Computer, two electives, and Transition.  Transition is a course which focuses on learning strategies, life skills, and career guidance.
