School board election

There is currently a six month (6) vacancy on the Meade School District 46-1 school board. The board will appoint the member to a six month (6) term that will run from January 2025 through July 2025.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, December 27, 2024. Interviews will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The interviews and board discussions will take place during closed executive session.

The appointee will be sworn in at the Monday, January 13, 2025, board meeting.

To serve as a member of the Meade School District 46-1's school board, it is required that you reside within the boundaries of the Meade School District 46-1. Given Meade County's extensive area and the proximity of its school district boundaries to those of neighboring districts, residents frequently face confusion regarding their exact district affiliation.
