Some items are still needed for the Thanksgiving Baskets! The date has been extended until Monday, November 20 at 8 am SHARP to try to get closer to our goal.
Right now these are the items that we need the most of:
18 boxes of stuffing
12 cans of fruit
38 cans of yams/ sweet potatoes
16 cans of gravy
6 boxes of instant mash potatoes
15 cans of olives
18 jars of pickles
9 turkey roasting pans
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Veterans Day Programs are taking place at Sturgis Williams MS, Sturgis Elementary, Whitewood Elementary, Stagebarn MS and Piedmont Valley Elementary Thursday, November 10, 2023. Due to limited capacity at PVE ONLY, the program is for students only.
Sturgis Williams Middle School is once again collecting items for their Thanksgiving basket food drive. Student Council creates Thanksgiving baskets for families who wouldn’t get a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. The drive will run 11/9 - 11/17. The items that are required can be located HERE! This is a school-wide event: Teachers, advisors, & students collect and promote, while the families are called and pickup is arranged by our counselors.

Congratulations to these Scooper Singers! Allyson Tish (11) and Charlie Knutson (9). They will be participating in the ACDA Midwestern Honor Choir that will be held in Omaha, NE on February 8-10, 2024.
In observance of Veteran's Day, schools in Meade School District will be holding special activities, programs and assemblies to thank and honor those who have served or are serving in the military.

Thanksgiving Break will begin on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 and go through Friday, November 24, 2023. Classes will resume on Monday, November 27, 2023 for staff and students.

Sturgis Brown High School is exploring the possibility of a 5x3 trimester schedule change. We would like to give you more information about this type of schedule and also hear what you think about this possibility. Presentations are scheduled for SWMS 8th graders on Tuesday, Oct 31 and Stagebarn MS 8th graders on Wednesday, Nov 1.
Parent/Guardian presentations are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
Thursday, Nov 2 at Sturgis Brown High School - West Gym @ 6:30 pm.
Monday, Nov 6 at Stagebarn Middle School @ 6:30 pm.
Tuesday, Nov 7 at Sturgis Williams Middle School @ 6:30 pm.
Please attend whatever presentation works best for you. An email with a survey link will also be sent out so that we can hear your thoughts on a possible 5x3 trimester schedule.
Shout out to the Meade County Sheriff's Office, SRO's at PVE and Stagebarn Middle School, as well as Summerset PD for representing the ALICE/Crisis Drill safety exercise at Piedmont Valley!
