Local Bison Chili
When we sent a letter to local processors about our intent to buy local ground beef, one company responded with a different idea: local bison. Dakota Pure Bison, formerly known as Western Buffalo in Rapid City, offers bison from two local ranches in South Dakota.
On Thursday, February 8th, our homemade buffalo chili was offered in the six cafeterias in Meade School District! Students I talked to at Stagebarn Middle School gave it a big thumbs up, with one complaint: they want bigger servings!
National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association, will be observed Feb. 5-9, 2024 as a way of focusing public attention on the unique contributions of school counselors and the impact they can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. The 2024 theme is "School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused."
