We’re ready to wrap up Homecoming Week tonight as the Scoopers take on the Douglas Patriots! We’re expecting a BIG crowd, a great atmosphere, and plenty of Homecoming excitement. We’re also excited to welcome our 1976, 1986, 1996, and 2006 class reunions! 🎉
Special seating will be available for the reunions in the West End Zone area.
Now for the friendly reminders…because apparently, we have to say these things. 😂👇
👀 Parents, please keep an eye on the younger kiddos. If they’re attending the game, we ask that they stay with you in the stands and enjoy the game rather than congregating around the concessions or restrooms.
🌳 The park is not an extension of the field. Please remind students to stay within the field area and not wander off to the park or parking lot.
⚽ Tonight is not pickup basketball, dodgeball, or an impromptu soccer tournament. Please leave balls and other play equipment at home. This helps keep traffic, distractions, and accidental chaos to a minimum.
🚨 Keep the driveway clear! Only game personnel may park inside the gated area. Emergency vehicles need to be able to get in and out safely if needed.
We know Homecoming is about more than football—it’s about school spirit, traditions, friends, families, alumni, and making memories. Thank you for doing your part to help make tonight safe, enjoyable, and focused on cheering on our Scoopers! See you at 7:00 PM!

Sturgis Brown High School’s Youth Leadership Team (YLT) will bring students, families, staff and community members together for a Suicide Prevention Walk on Sunday, September 27, at 12:00 p.m. at Sturgis Brown High School.
Monday – Class Day:
Freshmen – Babies; Sophomores – Nerds; Juniors – Cowboy/Cowgirl and Camo; Seniors – Toga
Tuesday – Carnival/Rio Colors: Bring out the bright colors and Carnival vibes!
Wednesday – Class T-Shirt Day: Don’t have a class T-shirt? Wear your class color!

Thursday – Tacky Tourist: Break out the Hawaiian shirts, fanny packs, sunglasses and tourist gear!

The Scooper Hub is a FREE after-school space where SBHS students can study, work with friends, get help from teachers, finish homework, prepare for tests, or make up quizzes and tests.
When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Time: 3:15–5:15 PM
Place: SBHS Library

Come for 20 minutes or stay for two hours—it’s your time! Attendance is completely voluntary, and students who drive or have their own ride may leave at any time. Students riding the late bus must stay until 5:15 PM to receive a late bus pass.

Thank you for your patience as we put the finishing touches on the new Woodle Field! While the project is nearing final completion , the field and track remain CLOSED to the public until August 17, 2026.
We ask that everyone please respect the closure by:
🐾 Keeping all dogs and other animals off the field and track
🚫 Not entering the field or track for walking, running, or recreation
⚠️ Respecting all posted signs, fencing, and barricades
Entering the area before it officially opens could create safety hazards, delay project completion, or damage the new turf and track surface.
School Bus Registration is Open for the 2026-27 School Year! Will your student ride the bus this school year? Help us prepare for a safe and efficient start by completing the Bus Registration Form as soon as possible.

STURGIS — Best of luck to the Sturgis Brown High School athletes competing at the South Dakota State Track & Field Meet this week in Sioux Falls.
The state competition officially began Thursday, May 28, bringing together some of the top athletes from across South Dakota for three days of outstanding competition and sportsmanship.
Sturgis Brown athletes have worked hard throughout the season to earn their place at state, showing dedication, perseverance, and team spirit both on and off the track. Coaches, classmates, families, and the entire Sturgis community are proud to support the Scoopers as they compete against the best in the state.
Fans who are unable to attend the meet in person can still follow all the action through South Dakota Public Broadcasting’s state track coverage. Please use the Please use the QR code provided to access live coverage, results, schedules, and event updates throughout the tournament.

A meaningful, faith-based evening to gather in prayer and celebration with family, friends, and our community. All are welcome!
The performance was a big hit—children were captivated by the puppets and found the show both fun and memorable. Along the way, they learned a simple rhyme to reinforce the message and were encouraged to share ideas for what they can do instead of hurting others when they feel upset. FCCLA members led every aspect of the project, creating an interactive experience that made an important lesson stick.
Sturgis Brown High School proudly recognized a group of outstanding students for earning April Positive Referrals, highlighting their commitment to leadership, kindness, responsibility, and academic excellence. This month’s Positive Referral program was sponsored by the Sturgis Optimist Club, whose continued support helps recognize and encourage student achievement and character development.
