This week's KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Benjamin Nadig of the Scooper Wrestling Team! Nadig maintains his No. 1 spot in the Class A 150-pound rankings, according to Dakota Grappler. The sophomore is currently 29-1 and recently won the Belle Fourche Invitational.
Sturgis Brown High School students were recognized for going above and beyond through positive referrals from both peers and teachers. To celebrate their efforts, each student received a popcorn and soda certificate to use at the SBHS concessions during any home game, along with a special “Scoopers Making a Difference” Scooper Sam T-shirt. These rewards not only recognize their achievements but also encourage all students to continue building a culture of respect, leadership, and pride at Sturgis Brown High School. Fans and community members can participate by purchasing a rubber duck for a chance to win prizes, with all proceeds going directly toward NHS scholarships. The event highlights the National Honor Society’s commitment to service and academic excellence while helping support future graduates in their pursuit of higher education.
KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Olivia Vliem of the Sturgis Scooper Girls Basketball Team. Olivia is being recognized following her strong play against Custer in which she scored 14 points and pulled down 4 rebounds. Way to go Olivia!!!

KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Tyler Baldwin of the Sturgis Scooper Wrestling Team! Tyler retained his top spot in the state at 120 pounds by getting a hard fought win vs Thunder Basin and at the Mid Dakota Monster this past week. Way to go Tyler!!!

Sturgis Brown High School is excited to announce this year’s Snow Ball Dance, taking place on Friday, December 12! The dance will run from 8:00 to 10:00 PM in the East Gym. Doors open at 8:00 PM and will close promptly at 8:30 PM—no late entries will be allowed, so make sure to arrive on time.
Students are reminded that the dress code for the evening is semi-formal. That means dress shirts, no holes in jeans. Please remember that this is a school event—attire should be school appropriate.
If you plan to bring an out-of-town guest, you must complete a permission form, available in the front office. These forms must be filled out and returned prior to the dance to ensure all guests are approved.

On November 18, Megan Ball from Western Dakota Tech visited Sturgis Brown High School to present the various opportunities available in their Lab Tech Program. Following her presentation, students were able to participate in hands-on activities, including drawing blood from an artificial arm, conducting a urinalysis using simulated urine, examining bacteria on prepared slides, and exploring how blood types are determined with simulated blood. The event was hosted by the Sturgis Brown High School Science Club.
SBHS National Honor Society students jumped right in to assist at the Piedmont Valley Elementary Turkey Time Festival on Friday, November 14. From guiding children through games to cheering on their successes, they helped make the event extra special. Their enthusiasm and commitment to service continue to make us proud.
