This past fall 6th grade students who are members of TAG competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. This is a national contest. Most of the students in the contest come from more heavily populated states such as Florida, California, Ohio, Georgia, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, Kansas, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. Award levels are National Honor Roll - top 10%, National Honorable Mention - top 50%, Participation (less than top 50%) and Team Achievement - means the team score fell in the top 10% of all teams participating. In 6th grade 4,535 students participated. At SWMS fourteen 6th graders participated. National Honor Roll earners and TEAM WINNER (3 students tied for team winner - 2 at SWMS and 1 at Stagebarn) Colt Duprel and Talon Bryant, National Honor Roll earners: Jaxton Clement, Nora Osberg, Rachel Sperling, and Zemirah Boyum, National Honorable Mention: Braylee Blakeman, Christian Rath, Jaxten Wilson, Jett Leonhardt, Monroe Bailey, and Nate Graf Participation earners: Israel McKay and Izaak Weyer. The district team (which SWMS is a part of) earned a Team Achievement Award. What is even more amazing? This team (comibined with 6th grade TAG students from Stagebarn) earned the highest teamscore out of all the teams that participated.
