
Scooper Thespian Society Presents "Peter Pan: Non-Flying Version!" adapted by Jon Jory, original story by J.M. Barrie on Friday, November 22 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, November 23 at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Performances are at the Sturgis Community Center Theater.

he 2024 SDHSAA State Cross Country took place on Saturday, October 25 at Hart Ranch in Rapid City. The SBHS Boys Cross Country team placed 10th and the SBHS Girls Cross Country team placed 13th.
Congratulations to Ty Petrocco for medaling, with a 5th place finish. Way to go SCOOPERS!!!


Congratulations to the SBHS Competitive Cheer Team for setting a school record for the highest points scored for a performance. The team competed at the State Tournament on Saturday, November 26 at the Monument in Rapid City.
Congratulations to Kira Willnerd and Kathleen Cook, both were selected for the All State Competitive Cheer Team. Congrats Kira and Kathleen!


On Friday, the Sturgis Kiwanis sponsored breakfast for students at Sturgis Brown High School. We appreciate Kiwanis supporting our students and offering free breakfast to any students that showed up for breakfast. Sturgis Kiwanis has done this previously at other Meade School District schools and this support benefits all students. Thank you!

Congratulations to the SBHS Band! They received a superior ratings from both Music Performance judges and an excellent from the Movement judge at the Black Hills State University Field Marching Festival.


The Black Hills Conference Spirit Competition featured nine teams with 148 athletes competing in the cheer competition at Sturgis Brown High School. The Scooper Cheer Team took first place with a score of 222. St Thomas More was second with a 191.5 and Douglas placed third with a 190.5. Winning Grand Champion Dance was Spearfish with a 438. The Spartans won the Pom and Jazz categories and Hot Springs claimed the Hop Hop Competition. The Bison placed second in the overall standings with Belle Fourche finishing in third.


CONGRATULATIONS to the following SBHS and Sturgis Williams Middle School Oral Interpretation students who placed at their first competition in Lead-Deadwood on October 12. Way to go Scoopers!

Congratulations to our cross country teams ! Boys won the Black Hills Conference Championship and the girls were runner-up. Individuals who finished with individual medals: Ty Petrocco, Quinn Bruch, Ty Ferguson, Emilie Reedy, Keelin Dinkins, Paige Willnerd, and Lucy Hamer.


The Sturgis brown High School Youth Leadership team is holding its 16th annual Choices Simulation on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00 PM for all interested parents/guardians. The annual exercise teaches students about the dangers of driving while impaired.


The SBHS September “Scoopers of the Month,” sponsored by The Coffee Shop at The Hotel Sturgis, include: 9th grader Blake Kaufman, 10th grader Cade Tallmage, 11th grader Leila Pritts, 12th grader Revan Wilde, and staff member Jordan Proefrock.


This week's KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Avery Marler of the Scooper girls soccer team! Avery scored three goals for Sturgis in the first half of their win over Belle Fourche last week.

This week's KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Sully Jost, junior of the Scooper Football Team, who finished with 26 carries for 269 yards and four scores vs Huron last week! The Scoopers lost in overtime 27-28. Way to go Sully!!!!

Sturgis vs Spearfish Soccer - The match that was suspended on Tuesday, September 17th, 2025 will be completed on Monday, September 23rd, 2024 at 4:00 PM. Game clock will be set to 20:37 and the score will be set to Sturgis 1 and Spearfish 2. When the time runs out, the game will be completed.

This week's KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the week is Ariana Burke, sophomore of the Sturgis Scooper Girls Soccer team! Ariana has set and broke the school goalie record for saves several times this year! Way to go Ariana!!!
